Am I supposed to find this beautiful? To me, it seems a perfect metaphor for a world that categorizes based on outer appearances instead of inner content.

A thousand times yes to the comment above. I always get a crawly, wet-socks feeling when I see these color-coordinated bookshelf pics. I suppose if you know your library inside and out and it’s not too big, this might work. But not for me. Not for me.
